The Freeman Coverage of Delafield Mayoral Race

Delafield — Incumbent Delafield Mayor Tim Aicher is seeking another term in office, and will face challenger Aaron Werner in the April 7 election.

"I am honored to have served as City of Delafield Mayor for the past two years. After a long tenure on the City Council, I enjoyed a short learning curve and got right to work as Mayor in 2024. Following the city’s economic development plan established in 2021 and the 2030 Comprehensive Plan as a blueprint for growth, the 2025 and 2026 budgets resulted in lower city taxes for nearly every resident. I look forward to leveraging my experience to deliver similar results for my neighbors in my next term as we continue to make Delafield thrive without sacrificing the historic, natural beauty and way of life that attract so many people here to live," Aicher said.

Aaron Werner has also announced his candidacy for mayor of Delafield, challenging Aicher. Werner’s campaign is centered on the message, "Preserve Our Character. Build Our Future."

"Delafield is a special place because of its history, its natural beauty, and the people who call it home," Werner said. "My goal as mayor is to protect what makes Delafield special — while also ensuring our city is financially strong, well-managed, and prepared for the next generation."
