Aaron is Wisconsin native who calls Delafield home along with his wife and dog. Aaron graduated from Oconomowoc High School (2000), UW-Madison (2004) and UW-Madison Law School (2008) before spending 10 years in Chicago as a corporate lawyer.
As a lawyer, Aaron helped hundreds of business owners with financing and contracts before going on to serve as the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of a global software firm.
More recently, Aaron spends his time teaching at the UW-Madison Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, serving on charity boards and operating a local design-build construction company.

Aaron Werner's work has been a guiding force for small family-owned businesses, corporations with hundreds of millions of dollars of annual revenue, and everything in-between. He brings a much-needed understanding of responsible growth to City Hall along with an accomplished career in charitable work.

Aaron is a co-founder and currently serves as the CEO of AW Marriott, a custom homebuilder created in partnership with Jim Marriott, a well-regarded local architect who has designed several of the most notable houses in Delafield over his 40 year career.

Aaron currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), an NGO focused on human rights in North Korea. LiNK provides a safe pathway to North Korean refugees who have made the brave decision to seek freedom. To date, 1,400 refugees and their children have been rescued through LiNK’s networks. And, in partnership with North Korean defectors and USA engineers, LiNK develops tailor-made technology, tools and content that help people inside North Korea access more information about the outside world.

Aaron currently serves as an Instructor and Supervising Attorney in UW-Madison Law School’s Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic. This Clinic provides free legal services to Wisconsin entrepreneurs and early stage companies through the work of law students supervised by faculty and private sector attorneys.

Aaron was first a volunteer hospital magician at Rush Hospital in Chicago, then went on to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Open Heart Magic (OHM). OHM is a one-of-a-kind non-profit that recruits, trains, then staffs volunteer magicians to provide bedside magic to sick children in hospitals.

Aaron served as the General Counsel then Chief Operating Officer of Pricefx, the leading global pricing software company based in Germany with customers around the world. Pricefx is a ventured-backed company that has raised over $100,000,000 from investors, including Bain & Company.

Aaron served as a corporate lawyer at a 65 attorney law firm. Aaron led or participated in over 100 transactions involving buying and selling companies, strategic financings, and general corporate matters. He also was an elected member of the firm’s Executive Committee responsible for managing the firm’s strategy and governance.

Aaron was elected to serve as the Chairman of the Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC) of UW-Madison. The SSFC is responsible for managing and approving the budgets for all student segregated fees ($51,000,000 in 2025) - a budget number 3X larger than the City of Delafield.
